Breaking Cycles. Building Stability. Creating Opportunity.

At Product of Poverty, we believe where you come from should never determine how far you can go.

We exist to help individuals and families break cycles of poverty by creating pathways to stable housing, meaningful employment, financial stability, and stronger futures. Through housing stabilization, workforce development, reentry support, financial literacy, and youth and family services, we address the barriers that can keep people and communities from moving forward.

Our approach goes beyond meeting an immediate need. We work to provide people with the support, resources, knowledge, and opportunities they need to build lasting stability and greater independence.

We don't just provide housing—we rebuild lives.

Because poverty may be part of someone's story, but it does not have to determine their future.

Our Five Pillars

Our work is built around five interconnected pillars designed to address immediate needs while creating pathways toward long-term stability, independence, and opportunity.

Workforce Development

Preparing People for Opportunity.

Employment can be a powerful pathway toward independence. We help individuals prepare for and succeed in the workforce through job-readiness training, résumé development, employment connections, career guidance, and workforce-related stipends or financial assistance when available.

Whether someone is entering the workforce, returning after incarceration, or working toward a new career, we help remove barriers that can stand between individuals and meaningful employment.

Financial Literacy & Entrepreneurship

Knowledge Today. Financial Stability Tomorrow.

Financial empowerment is about more than managing money—it is about creating opportunities to build a future.

We provide education and support in budgeting, credit building, financial planning, homeownership, business coaching, and business planning. For aspiring entrepreneurs, we help turn ideas into actionable plans by providing guidance on the fundamentals of starting, organizing, and growing a business.

Our goal is to help individuals and families move beyond financial survival toward financial stability, ownership, entrepreneurship, and long-term wealth building.

Housing Stabilization

A Stable Home. A Stronger Foundation.

Stable housing creates the foundation people need to move forward. We support individuals and families through case management, rental and housing assistance, transition support, budgeting and homeownership classes, savings plans for future home expenses, financial donations or stipends for rental assistance when available, and connections to essential housing resources for renters and home purchasing programs.

Our goal is not simply to help someone find housing, but to help create the stability necessary to maintain it and move toward greater independence.

Reentry Support

A Second Chance. A New Direction.

Returning home is more than a physical transition—it can require rebuilding confidence, relationships, routines, and a sense of direction. Product of Poverty provides a supportive pathway for formerly incarcerated individuals as they reconnect with their families and communities and work toward long-term stability.

Our reentry support may include mental health and wellness support, mentoring, individual and group coaching, self-development coaching, family coaching, and connections to housing, employment, financial education, and other essential resources.

We recognize that successful reentry can involve the entire family. Our approach creates opportunities for individuals and their loved ones to strengthen communication, rebuild relationships, develop healthy coping and decision-making skills, set personal and family goals, and establish positive support systems.

Through one-on-one mentoring, peer and group support, personal development, family-centered coaching, and connections to appropriate mental health resources, we help returning citizens address barriers while building the confidence and tools needed to move forward.

Our goal is not simply successful reentry—it is restoration, stability, personal growth, stronger families, and a genuine opportunity for a new beginning.

Youth & Family Support

Stronger Families. Stronger Futures.

Breaking cycles of poverty requires investing in the entire family. Through mentorship, educational support, and family-centered services, we help young people and families access resources and opportunities that can strengthen their future.

Support may include tuition assistance, scholarships, school and workforce uniform assistance, mentorship, educational resources, and other family-support services based on available funding and program eligibility.

By reducing financial barriers to education and opportunity, we help young people focus on learning, developing their potential, and preparing for successful futures.

Prequalify

Our pre-qualification process is the first step in connecting individuals and families with the support that best fits their needs. Through this process, we learn more about each person's circumstances, goals, barriers, and available resources so we can help identify the appropriate programs, services, and next steps within our five-pillar framework.

Prequalification helps us ensure that support is purposeful, accessible, and aligned with each participant's situation. It allows us to prioritize immediate needs while also creating a pathway toward long-term stability, personal growth, and independence.

At Product of Poverty, we aren't simply responding to immediate needs. We're helping individuals and families build the tools, resources, opportunities, and support systems needed to change the trajectory of their lives.

We don't just provide resources—we rebuild lives.
